NAPOLEON BONAPARTE
Napoleon Bonaparte was one of the greatest soldiers the world has ever known. His abounding energy and intelligence combined with his ability to make quick decisions enabled this poor boy from Corsica to become the Emperor of France and the master of Europe at the age of thirty-five.
As a French general and later as the Emperor, Napoleon introduced many reforms that left a lasting impression on the institutions of France as well as much of Western Europe. In the administrative system of France, the Code Napoleon, the judicial system, the Bank of France, the University System and military academies, the influence of Napoleon still endures. Indeed it can be said that this small man who became a legend in his lifetime, changed the history of France and of the world.
