OUR FREEDOM MOVEMENT 

The well-known artist, S. D. Sawant, co-author of the two books in this series, THE GANDHI STORY and THE STORY OF JAWAHARLAL NEHRU, which have proved immensely popular among children, has now done this picto- rial history of the freedom move- ment in India. Specially commissioned for the job, Sawant unfolds here a fasci- nating story of a long and arduous struggle for freedom from foreign domination. Beginning with the establish- ment of the Company rule in India two centuries ago, he depicts skil- fully the various phases through which the movement passed till it ulminated in the attainment of freedom on August 15, 1947.
